The New Year has arrived, and with it comes a new adventure. This is the very first blog post for our website The Priestley Project. For the past five years, my husband and I have dreamed of starting an online business. It has finally come time to make this dream come true. A little about who we are and what this blog is all about… Chad and I are Wisconsinites, currently counting down to springtime because winters are cold and with the holidays over there are no more distractions from the weather! We have four beautiful kids, two girls and two boys. They are all school-aged and old enough to show interest in the online business we are embarking on. It is our hope that they grow up to have an entrepreneurial spirit! Both my husband and I are very excited to be sharing new information with all our readers online. We both work full-time at present. I’m in the corporate world as a company executive and my husband is in the field of renewable energy. This blog will be our side hustle until we get it off the ground. It is our hope that one day, we can ditch the 9-5 lifestyle and do more of what we love.
Starting a business online is very complicated and there is a lot to learn. We are ready to take our readers on our journey as we grow. Along the way, we will be sharing a wealth of knowledge for what works in the online world. We have invested a lot of money in good training courses, and all the essential tools that are needed to grow. Along the way, we have learned a lot and have made some great decisions and some awful ones too! We want to share this knowledge with our readers, so they get insider knowledge and can avoid all the pain staking research involved in picking the correct training and tools and then hoping that your investment pays off.
This blog is going to share all the information that a newbie needs to know when starting a business online. There is a plethora of information out there and a lot of individuals selling products and services. It is not always easy to know who to trust! The goal is to provide valuable content, recommendations, and updates about how our business is going along the way. We’ve found that although there is a wealth of knowledge online, step by step tutorials are extremely valuable! Chad and I aim to provide content you can apply and use in your own business ventures and/or professional development.
