Using Trello to organize my business efforts was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It doesn’t just help you in business, it is also a great personal tool. In this blog post, I wanted to share with you how to use Trello in your business for the best possible results.
What’s Trello?
To put it simply, Trello is a digital tool that allows you to organize, create workflows, and track just about anything! Trello is also a free tool, and nothing beats a very helpful lifestyle tool that also costs nothing to use! Of course, you can upgrade for a small annual/monthly fee to get a few additional features, but in no way are they needed to use Trello effectively.
That’s Great But How Do I Use It?
Trello is a blank slate when you first start out. Information in Trello is organized by what they refer to as a board. You can have as many as you need. Within the boards, are lists. On each list, you place cards.
Most users start with a simple board like a to-do list. The way you customize your boards/lists/cards is completely up to you and there are endless options.
Fun Features To Try Out
- Setting due dates
- Uploading attachments
- Creating checklists and workflows
- Color labels
- Power-ups (special actions, integrations, or automation for your board)
I Have No Clue Where To Start Or What I Need In Trello!
Never fear! You don’t need to figure this all out on your own. Especially if you really aren’t a fan of nor like creating an organizational system. If you’d rather have a system give to you that provides results, you can easily get started with a free Trello board.
One of the most important boards I use on Trello is called My Weekly Workflow. I invite you to copy this Trello board and make it your own! You can use it as is, or customize it to your liking. Swipe it by filling in your details at the end of the post, and you’ll get a link to the board.
I am also working on an exciting new online course where I am sharing my systems in Trello along with a long list of my business boards/lists/cards and a few fun bonuses. I’ll be dropping more details as I finish up the course.
In the meantime, don’t miss your free Trello board, swipe it here. Watch the video below for instructions on copying the freebie to your personal Trello account.
